A Multitude of Phone Books

AT&T will let you change the number of copies you receive of their yellow and white pages.  You can also opt-out from their distribution list.

Names and Numbers for Springfield also allows you to opt-out of delivery by sending them an e-mail or calling their toll-free number 800-592-7625.

Yellowbook allows you to fill out a form online to opt-out of delivery.  The request will remain on file for three years.

Do you live outside Springfield?  The Yellow Pages Association provides a search that will list the Yellow Pages distributors based on zip code with links or phone numbers needed to opt-out.

To recycle those old phone books, the City of Springfield takes them at their recycling centers at the following locations: 3020 S. Lone Pine, 731 N. Franklin Ave., and at the recycling center adjacent to the Yardwaste Recycling Center. 

The Library has phone books from across Missouri and surrounding states.  You can also use Reference USA* to look up business and residential phone numbers.
