2010 Science Nobel Prizes Announced
Every year since 1901 the Nobel Prize has been awarded for achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and for peace. The Nobel Prize is an international award administered by the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm, Sweden. The foundations for the prize were laid in 1895 when Alfred Nobel wrote his last will, leaving much of his wealth to establish the Nobel Prize. Each prize consists of a medal, personal diploma, and a cash award.
Recently, the 2010 Nobel Prize for Medicine, Physics, and Chemistry were awarded.
Medicine
Robert G. Edwards for the development of in vitro fertilization.
Physics
Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov “for groundbreaking experiments regarding the two-dimensional material graphene”.
