Do you need an authoritative medical resource but can't get to the Library? You can access up-to-date and reliable health information from the Library's website.
Health & Wellness Resource Center* is a database from Gale that provides integrated access to medical, statistical, health, and related information. This database includes reference material as well as full-text magazines, journals, and pamphlets from a wide variety of authoritative medical sources.
This database also subscribes to the HONcode principles of the Health on the Net Foundation. The mission of the Health on the Net Foundation is to guide healthcare consumers and providers to reliable medical information and expertise.
In the Health & Wellness Resource Center you will find:
- An updated, easy-to-navigate interface featuring quick links to hot topics and top-searched conditions as well as diseases and overviews.
- More than 1,000 top medical journals and periodicals as well as articles from more than 2,200 general-interest publications.
- Streaming video with transcripts from Healthology, Illumistream, NBC and live links to ORLive.
- Links to trusted health-related Web sites.
