Summer Reading Vol. 1
My first official selection for Summer Reading was "Endless Summer" by Jennifer Echols. Really it was a two for one deal since it includes two books "The Boys Next Door" and "Endless Summer". Not to play favorites but I enjoyed "The Boys Next Door" more than it's sequel. In the first book our main character Lori and her brother live next door to the Vader family which has three sons. Lori is friends with all the boys Cameron, Sean, and Adam but her mission this summer is to catch Sean's eye. She thinks this will be easy since she works with them every summer at their family marina and she will begin dressing more like a girl. She has always been one of the boys but she wants them to notice her now. At first her plans don't really work so she uses Adam to make Sean jealous. What she doesn't realize is that Adam may have some plans of his own. I won't tell you anymore so I won't ruin the second book but there are plenty of hijinks and watersports in this series. It is perfect for readers who enjoy a little romance, witty lines, and good ole' sibling rivalry. Enjoy!
