Park Central Branch Hours Change Effective Aug. 1
Hours of operation will be modified effective Monday, Aug. 1, at the Park Central Branch Library, 128 Park Central Square.
New hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday. The branch will remain closed on Sunday.
The change means the library will close an hour earlier on Friday; it will open an hour later and close an hour earlier on Saturday.
“This change, as with any modification in hours of operation, is determined by foot traffic, circulation, computer use and other factors,” said Jim Schmidt, associate director of the Springfield-Greene County Library District. “The hope is to be available when our customers want to use us, while still trying to adequately staff our facilities.”
