“After the Harvest” Documentary and Discussion Sept. 22 at Park Central Branch

The public is invited to a free screening of “After the Harvest, Fighting Hunger in the Coffeelands,” a documentary about seasonal hunger in coffee-producing regions of the world, from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Park Central Branch Library, 128 Park Central Square.

After the 20-minute film, everyone is invited to stay for a discussion with Jeff Taylor, of PT’s Coffee, and Shawn Askinosie, of Askinosie Chocolate. They will discuss their experiences in sourcing direct trade from coffee/cocoa farmers and witnessing hunger in those regions.

The event is sponsored by the Coffee Ethic, next door to the Park Central Branch Library.

For more information about the program call the Coffee Ethic at 866-6645.
