Free Holiday Music Concerts Planned at Libraries
The Springfield-Greene County Library District has live music to get everyone in the holiday mood in December. Patrons of all ages are invited to these festive, family-oriented events.
Here's the lineup of free holiday concerts at the Library.
Sunday, Dec. 11
Library Center -- Sunday Concert Series: Red Bridge Presents "A Special Holiday Concert" 2 p.m. in the auditorium. The popular group returns to present a special concert of holiday favorites with their usual high energy and great harmony. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Wednesday, Dec. 14
Midtown Carnegie Branch Library - Holiday Horns, 12:15- 1 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room for all ages. Springfield Symphony's Brass Quintet performs festive music at this annual concert sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Beverages and snacks will be provided, feel free to bring a sack lunch or order from Fog City Coffee inside the library.
Saturday, Dec. 17
Brentwood Branch Library - Holiday Concert with Wires N Wood, 2 p.m. for all ages. Wires N Wood will perform holiday tunes in the bluegrass tradition. Join the staff at the Brentwood Branch Library for holiday cheer, good music, warm beverages and sweet cookies. Take the holiday spirit with you with a make 'n' take craft to decorate your home. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
