Amazing Appetizers
During the holiday season, many of us will be looking for appetizer ideas for a variety of get-togethers. Hors d’oeuvres can be served as a first course of a meal or several finger foods can be combined to make up all the food for a party. Hors d’oeuvres are popular all over the world; you can add variety to your entertaining repertoire by learning about appetizers from different cultures:
- Tapas: Spain
- Amuse-bouches: France
- Antojitos: Mexico
- Samosas: India
- Antipasto: Italy
- Meze: Mediterranean and Middle East
- Dim sum: China
If you would like to see examples of appetizer preparation, the chefs from the Taste Culinary Classroom at Price Cutter will present the program “Hors d’oeuvres on the Fly” on Monday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Library Center auditorium.
