Havin' a ball
Louis Armstrong will tip his golden trumpet over another all-star group when the Benny Goodman-Armstrong entertainment package plays two concerts Sunday, May 31, at the Shrine Mosque. Ol' Satchmo's latest troupe includes Cozy Cole, James (Trummy) Young, Arvell Shaw and Joe Bushkin. Goodman won't be on hand for the engagement because of illness but his orchestra will include such jazzmen as Gene Krupa, Teddy Wilson, Ziggy Elman, Charlie Shaver,Georgie Auld, Vernon Brown and Clint Neagely.
