"The Age of Miracles" Author to Visit Libraries Via Skype
Karen Thompson Walker, author of the upcoming book, “The Age of Miracles,” will visit two libraries via Skype during two June 7 book discussions. The event is free and open to the public.
The book, scheduled for release June 26, will be the featured title at a book discussion at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Brentwood Branch Library. Walker will visit on Skype at 7:30 p.m. The Library will have a limited number of books for those pre-registered. Call 616-0702 to join this pre-publication discussion and receive a copy of the book.

About the book: On a seemingly ordinary Saturday in a California suburb, Julia and her family awake to discover, along with the rest of the world, that the rotation of Earth has suddenly begun to slow. The days and nights grow longer, gravity is affected and the environment is thrown into disarray.
