"Cast a Big Shadow Puppet" with Matt Sandbank June 25-26
Shadow puppetry is an ancient art of storytelling. ‘Tweens and teens in grades 4-12 can get ideas and tips from Matt Sandbank of Wild Goose Chase Theater as he teaches the basic methods of designing, constructing and performing with shadow puppets.
Using scraps of cardstock, plastic straws, Scotch tape and simple brass fasteners, young people can learn all the skills they need to put on their own shadow puppet play.
‘Tweens and teens in grades 4-12 are welcome to these free performances.
Learn to “Cast a Big Shadow Puppet” at the following times and locations:
- 7 p.m. on Monday, June 25, in the Story Hour Room at the Library Center
- 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, at the Brentwood Branch Library
