Davonne Burns “Sorrow’s Fall” Book Signing Nov. 17 at Library Center

Davonne Burns will sell and sign copies of her first book, “Sorrow’s Fall,” from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, in the concourse of the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.

This science fiction novel begins as the decade’s long cold war between Hyperia and Incorporated Space is coming to a bloody end and both sides will do anything to get their hands on the top secret bioweapon known only as Sorrow. When you have the ability to see people’s emotional states, being in a crowd is like being assaulted by incoherent chaotic rainbows. Add to that the fact you’ve been trained from infancy to kill, and experiencing other people’s emotions becomes a massive liability. While killing might not come easily, obedience does, and that’s all that’s required to be an assassin for Fall Intergalactic – absolute obedience.
