Emerging Music from SXSW
Every year in Austin the South by Southwest festival brings together a huge lineup of established and emerging musical groups. The festival features musicians from around the world. We may not be able to attend this year but we can still hear the music.
Check out a sampling of those artists and some new music purchased for our own library collections. Here is the SXSW 2013 Music Preview from NPR this week. We have added Hannah Georgas, Bronze Radio Return, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Lincoln Durham. We might see one of these bands in Springfield someday soon.
We welcome your suggestions to purchase music all year long. Let us know if you hear a band from SXSW 2013 or any other event that we can consider adding to our collections.
