Let Edgar Allan Poe Inspire You: Join The Big Bleed
The Big Bleed is back, and how a-Poe-propriate!
In keeping with the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe’s works that we’re celebrating during the Big Read throughout April, the Springfield-Greene Library District again has teamed up with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks on a community blood drive.
Do something good for your community – donate blood and be a partner with the Library and CBCO. When you donate and show your Library card, you’ll get a free Big Bleed T-shirt imprinted with a classic Poe caricature and “Blood shortages … Nevermore!” For age 16 and older.
- April 22-26 at CBCO’s two Springfield donor centers: Campbell Donor Center -- 220 W. Plainview Road; Reser Donor Center -- 2230 S. Glenstone Ave. Visit cbco.org for donation hours.
- Monday, April 22, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Library Center auditorium
- Monday, April 22, 2-7 p.m., Donor Express Truck at Library Station
- Wednesday, April 24, 8:30-11:30 a.m., Donor Express Truck at Midtown Carnegie Branch Library
