All Library branches will be closed and the Mobile Library will not make its regularly scheduled stops on Monday, May 29, for Memorial Day.

The Library Center and Schweitzer Brentwood branch libraries will not have phone service Monday, May 29-Tuesday, May 30, due to maintenance. Please call (417) 865-1340 for assistance.

We welcome this new organization as part of a larger body of community resources that area residents often don't know about. Here is a list of some community resources you may not be aware of.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Springfield Affordable Housing Center</b></p> <p>The&nbsp;<a href="http://www.commpartnership.org/what-we-do/housing/springfield-affordable-housing-center/">Springfield Affordable Housing Center</a>&nbsp;opened on June 5 thanks to the efforts of the Community Parternership of the Ozarks and the City of Springfield. The new office is hailed as a one-stop center for all information regarding affordable housing and prevention of homelessness. The Springfield Affordable Housing Center is located at 300 E. Central St., across from Springfield City Utilities. For more information, you can contact the Community Partnership at (417) 888-2020.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><b>United Way 2-1-1</b></p> <p><a href="http://www.211helps.org/">2-1-1</a>&nbsp;provides an easy way to locate community resources. &nbsp;Simply dial 2-1-1 or 1-800-427-4626 to speak with an operator who can help you locate assistance with basic needs; physical and mental health resources; jobs programs; support for seniors and those with disabilities; support for children, youth and families; and volunteering opportunities.
