Join the MSU Community Read at Library Book Discussions
The Springfield-Greene County Library District will host book discussions this fall in support of Missouri State University’s Common Reader program. This year’s Common Reader selection is “Start Something That Matters” by Blake Mycoskie. It tells Blake’s incredible story as the man behind TOMS Shoes and One for One, the revolutionary business model that marries fun, profit and social good.
The public is invited to attend discussions at the following times and Library locations:
- 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, at the Brentwood Branch
- 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Brentwood Branch
- 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, for ages 21 and older at Mother’s Brewing Company Tasting Room
- 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, for ages 20-39 at the Library Center
The purpose of the Common Reader program is to provide a common academic experience for first-year students and create a greater sense of community among students, faculty, staff and the public. For more information about Common Reader visit www.missouristate.edu/commonreader/.
