Author Linda Thomas, who writes as Lucinda Freeman, will sell and sign copies of her book, “Island Out of Radar” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Library Center concourse, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.
After her character Lucinda’s plane goes down into the Pacific Ocean, she finds herself all alone for days in a raft. As she waits each day for rescue she finds herself in very dangerous situations. Being marooned on an island for almost three years, she can only trust the Lord to take care of her. Each day she is amazed at His provisions for water and food. In encountering hostile men, she has to hide from their visits to the island. Finding treasures on the beach that God would use to help others gives Lucinda faith He will bring her home.
