Healthcare Marketplace Help Available at the Library; Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale Oct. 22-27 at Remington's

Do you need help shopping or signing up for a plan in the new Federal Health Insurance Marketplace? Help is available three days a week from a certified helper at the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.

Dori Meyer from Primaris Healthcare Business Solutions is certified to answer questions, help adults comparison shop or enroll them in a plan once the national website is up and running. Enrollment began Oct. 1. Meyer’s job as health plan navigator is funded by a grant from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services/U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Meyer is available from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the Grisham Room of the Library Center. She is expected to maintain those office hours until the Marketplace closes on March 31, 2014. Her direct phone number at the Library Center is 417-616-0542.

Walk-ins are welcome; reservations are not required for now.

Help is also available from 8:30-5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Jordan Valley Community Health Center, 440 E. Tampa St. Details about the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace are also at healthcare.gov, or at 1-800-318-2596.
