Erin Gray Named New Republic Branch Library Manager
Erin Gray, a 10-year employee of the Springfield-Greene County Library District, has been named branch manager of the Republic Branch Library, 921 N. Lindsey Ave. She will join the Republic Branch staff effective Nov. 17.
Erin joined the library district in 2003 following service in the Peace Corps Service in Estonia, in the Baltic Region of northern Europe. She has worked in youth services, library reference department and was branch manager of the Strafford and Fair Grove branch libraries. Most recently she worked in the district’s Collection Services Department helping select and purchase books, DVDs, CDs and other materials.
“I am a passionate advocate for youth in our communities and a confessed technology geek,” Erin said. “The Republic community is growing rapidly. I look forward to working with our staff at the branch and getting to know Republic patrons, schools and businesses. Go Tigers!”
She has a Master of Library and Information Science. She succeeds Republic Branch Manager Geri Olmstead, who was named director of the Christian County Library District.
