The St Louis Art Museum will be exhibiting the Power and the Glory: Court Arts of China's Ming Dynasty.  A first of its kind, the exhibition will focus solely on the art of the period and serve as a definitive guide to Ming court art.  It will consist of 200 works of art selected from the collections of three major museums in China and from the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. The objects featured will include not only artifacts made by imperial manufacturers but also paintings created by emperors and other high-ranking officials.
