Love Foreign Languages? Love Movies? Come to a Party Nov. 22
Do you want to learn a language but can’t find the time or the motivation? What if you could enjoy a movie and learn at the same time? Say hello to the library’s newest language-learning resource, Mango Premiere™.
Mango Premiere™ is the first and only language-learning program to combine education with entertainment by teaching language through foreign films. Mango Languages is a free language-learning system available at thelibrary.org/mango* with a valid library card.
To celebrate the launch of this program, teens and adults ages 13 and older are invited to a brief presentation about Mango’s new foreign film offerings at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in meeting room B of the Library Center.
We’ll have snacks, door prizes and watch a 2007 Japanese horror-comedy film with English subtitles, “Negative Happy Chain Saw Edge,” rated for age 13 and older.
