Friends of the Library Present Winter Concerts to Warm You Up
The Friends of the Library are sponsoring a series of concerts to lift your spirits through dreary winter months. All the events are free and open to all ages. The Friends sponsor these and other events through proceeds from the spring and fall book sales.
Holiday Horns – Wednesday, December 11, 11:15 a.m. in the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library upstairs meeting room. Springfield Symphony's Brass Quintet performs festive music at this annual concert. Beverages and snacks will be provided, feel free to bring a sack lunch.
Brentwood Holiday Happenings with Dallas Jones -- Saturday, December 21, 2 p.m. in the Brentwood Branch Library community room. Local musician Dallas Jones will play holiday music, and we'll have a craft for the kids and hot chocolate/coffee and cookies for all.
Casey and the Atta Boys – Sunday, January 12, 2 p.m. in the Library Center auditorium. This five-piece area bluegrass band is based in tradition – with a modern twist.
