Governor Jay Nixon's State of the State Address
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon presented his recommended budget for the 2015 fiscal year during his sixth-annual State of the State address on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. It took place in the House of Representatives chamber at the Missouri State Capitol Building in Jefferson City. During his address, Nixon proposed a budget with large investments in health and education, including an additional $278 million to elementary and secondary schools.
