News and information about the Missouri Legislature, Governor and political candidates is now just a click away. Today, numerous websites exist that detail the daily business of Missouri government. Some of those websites are non-partisan, while others project a specific political agenda. In addition, thanks to the popularity of social media outlets such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and more, Missouri citizens can be more informed than ever. However it is still the job of the constituency to assess the information for accuracy, timeliness and relevancy, in order to be informed citizens and voters.
One website to visit is PoliticMo.com. Launched in 2010, PoliticMO.com provides on the ground information about the events that shape the conversation in Missouri politics and in Jefferson City. In 2012 and 2013, PoliticMo was lauded by the Washington Post as one of the top state news blogs. The Missouri Times maintains an active blog and reports on the Legislative and Executive Branches, as well as up to date news regarding various political campaigns.
