Tip Thursday: Live Elementary Math Help
Whether you were a genius with numbers or absolutely terrified of multiplication tables in elementary school, chances are your children might find themselves in need of some guidance when conquering elementary math. Between fractions, geometry and the metric system, there’s an even greater chance that you might find yourself as puzzled by your child’s homework as they are.
Now, thanks to a Springfield Public Schools teacher, parents can receive live homework help through Facebook. Kim Bush, a Holland Elementary fourth grade teacher and curriculum department chairperson, logs on every Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. to answer questions and offer advice to parents in real-time.
Interested in asking Kim a math question? You will need to have a Facebook account to log in and post your question to the weekly Tip Thursday thread on Springfield Public Schools’ Facebook page.
If you’re not able to join the conversation during the live hour, don’t worry. You are also able to post questions up to a day in advance.
