Learn to Prevent Crime at Your Business May 30 at Library Station
Business owners/operators and the general public are invited to learn how to help crime-proof their property at a free Business Watch training from 3-5 p.m. Friday, May 30, at the Frisco Room of the Library Station, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.
Springfield Police Department Officer David Snider, from the Crime Prevention Unit, will conduct the training.
An active Business Watch enables businesses to take an active role in preventing and reducing criminal activity on their properties through information sharing, raising awareness and learning how to identify and recognize criminal activities. The program uses the concepts and strategies of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, or CPTED.
For information call the Library Station, 865-1340; or the police Crime Prevention Unit, 874-2113.
