Summer Fun in the Ozarks

Don't miss out on these family (and pocketbook) friendly activities:

  • The Library: Not only is the Summer Reading Program (for kids and teens) in full swing, the Library is also offering a plethora of free programs that are guaranteed to please.
  • The Arts Council: The Springfield-Regional Arts Council is keeping busy this summer. Take a look at their events calendar for some cool summer treats.
  • Discovery Center: Just because school's out doesn't mean you get to stop learning! Get "schooled" at one of the Discovery Center's Summer Workshops [pdf].
  • Aquatics: And it wouldn't be summer without the swimming pool. Get more info about the public pools in Springfield, Willard, & Republic.
  • Zoo: Lions, tigers, and bears - Oh My! The Dickerson Park Zoo always has something for everyone and this summer is no exception. Check their events calendar for upcoming activities.
  • Baseball: Take me out to the ballgame! The Springfield Cardinal's are hosting a Cardinals Kid's Club this summer for all kids 15 and under. Or you may just want to catch a game!

And don't forget your cool reads for those hot summer days:
