International Coffee Day

International Coffee Day, also known as National Coffee Day or just Coffee Day, is an unofficial holiday celebrating one of the most popular beverages in the world. Celebrated annually on September 29, this beverage is enjoyed by individuals worldwide in a variety of fashions: hot or cold, and either black or with additions such as cream, flavored creamers, milk, sugar, flavored syrups and ice.

According to the Britannica Concise Encyclopedia*, "Coffee drinking began in 15th-century Arabia. It reached Europe by the mid 17th century and immediately became hugely popular. Coffee is now consumed by about one-third of the world's population." With so many people taking part in this delicious libation, there is an abundance of information about how to incorporate coffee in different aspects of daily life, from cooking to gardening.
