Books Make Great Gifts
Are you looking for holiday gift ideas? Do you have friends or family who love to read but you’re not sure what to purchase for them? Join us for the Books Make Great Gifts program on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Library Center auditorium!
You’ll get recommendations from the experts as a panel of librarians share their favorite literary gift ideas. All ages are welcome, and there will be recommendations for children’s, young adult and adult titles. Refreshments will be served, and attendees will have a chance to win prizes!
In addition to sharing their go-to gift ideas, librarians at the program will give you a short introduction to NoveList, a library database with information on thousands of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction titles. NoveList contains series information, awards, genre lists and reviews, and it’s a great place to find ideas for gift books as well as titles to read yourself. Access NoveList from home by visiting the Library’s Books and Authors Research page and scrolling down to the “NoveList” link. Then log in with your library card number.
