Kentwood Arms

 Frisco Employee Magazine
September 1926, page 21

The new hotel pictured [left] is "Kentwood-Arms," a million-dollar hostelry in Springfield, Mo., built by John R. Woodruff, prominent capitalist and builder of that city. The hotel opened recently, and is a decided departure from the usual hotel architecture. The top floor of the structure has been given over to a combined roof garden and promenade, which is claimed to be the largest in America. The hotel also features dining and dancing salon, a large grill in the basement, opening out upon a formal garden, and a golf course, Hickory hills, is operated in conjunction with the hotel. Insert—Mr. John R. Woodruff.
