 Singer Porter Wagoner buys $21,000 home on Valley Road; It’s one of two sales in [that] bracket
News Leader, March 11, 1956

"Porter Wagoner, a country music singer and radio, television and recording artist, bought a seven-room ranch-type home at 1912 Valley Road, with electric kitchen and double garage, for an indicated $21,000. Shorty Thompson of the Herb Tillman Company, a former radio entertainer himself, was agent in the transaction.

"Also recorded last week, in the $21,000 class was the new ranch-type home on Mimosa Drive bought by Ivan Gann, sales manager for Douglas Oldsmobile, from Otto J. Bohn, a builder. Joe M. Hayes, a realtor, was agent in the transaction.

"Hugh Heyle, a realtor, bought a ranch-type home at 2149 Broadmoor from Gerald F. Doran, a builder, for an indicated $15,000."
