The United States government has an official web portal easily accessible at USA.gov.
The website is administered by the U.S. General Services Administration and was launched on September 22, 2000. Initially found on the web at FirstGov.gov the website changed it's moniker to USA.gov in January 2007.
On the USA.gov website users can browse government information by topic or find an extensive list of government services available online. There are also thousands of answers to government-related questions available in the FAQs. Those still unable to find the information they seek about the federal government can call toll-free: 1 (800) FED INFO (1-800-333-4636).
