Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is observed on the third Monday in January to celebrate the memory of the civil rights leader. The first national King Holiday was observed on January 20, 1986.

The Martin Luther King Jr. March and Celebration Rally begins at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 18 at Mediacom Ice Park, 635 East Trafficway. The march will end at Central High where the MLK Celebration Rally will begin at 11:30 a.m. For more information call 873-6386.
