Coming in November! Overdrive Digital Media

The Springfield-Greene County Library is pleased to announce that, beginning in November, we will offer our users eBooks, eAudiobooks and downloadable Video from Overdrive Digital Media. Browse and search hundreds of titles in all formats, download them to your computer, transfer them to a portable device, or burn onto a CD (when the publisher allows).

The Library's subscription to NetLibrary downloadable audiobooks has expired.

More About Overdrive:

The following types of materials can be checked out and downloaded with Overdrive:

• eBooks in the Adobe® Reader®/Adobe® Digital Editions format (eBooks optimized for on-screen reading)
• eBooks in the Mobipocket Reader format (eBooks optimized for on-screen reading & transfer to an array of portable devices)
• Audio books in the OverDrive Media Console™ format
• Video in the OverDrive Media Console™ format (note that OverDrive Video is supported as a high-speed Internet-only product)

At this time, OverDrive Media files cannot be used on iPods or Mac computers.

To access digital materials at Springfield-Greene County Library, you will need:

• A valid Springfield-Greene County Library card
• Access to the Internet
• Free software for the computer and/or device on which you wish to use the material you download from this site

Please note that digital downloads can be enjoyed at home, at work, or when you travel, but are generally not for use on the computers in the library.
