- You can read netLibrary's e-books from their web site using your web browser.
- Books are checked out for forty-eight hours, unless otherwise noted. At the end of the checkout period, the netLibrary system automatically "returns" the book,
making it available for another user. If you need more time with the book, check
it out again.
- netLibrary offers three kinds of e-books on its web site:
Library Collection books are the recently-published copyrighted books available
through the library's membership with netLibrary. They can
be checked out for forty-eight hours at a time, free of charge.
Public Collection books are available for free to anyone in the world and include
many classic titles that are in the public domain and no longer under copyright
protection. These also include political speeches and documents such as the U.S.
Declaration of Independence.
Private Collection indicates books that netLibrary owns but that the library has not purchased. These titles are not available to library users. Readers who link to netLibrary through the library's web
site or log in to their account when visiting netLibrary's site directly will
not see any Private Collection titles when searching.
If you need more information, refer to the help
pages on the netLibrary site.
