StarLab: Native American Sky Legends

6-8 p.m. at Library Center For grades K-12

Join us for a special StarLab planetarium experience that explores the mythology Native American cultures tied to the constellations. Our presenter will lead groups into the StarLab every 25 minutes, so register for your preferred time. This program is most appropriate for children in kindergarten and older. Explore constellations, the solar system and galaxies with a trip inside the StarLab, where you'll learn about the stars in the night sky and stories that surround them. Our presenter will lead groups into the StarLab every 25 minutes. We'll have lots of games to help you learn about our world and others while you wait. This program is most appropriate for children in kindergarten and older. Children ages 3-5 must be accompanied by an adult in the StarLab. Free eclipse glasses will be available, 2 pair per person while supplies last.

Skype with Author Stuart Gibbs

Celebrate the anniversary of the first moon landing on July 20, 1969, with a Skype visit with Stuart Gibbs, author of "Space Case." It's the story of a young boy who is part of the first group of humans to colonize the moon and was featured on the 2016-17 Mark Twain Award list. Stuart will talk about his writing and you can ask questions about his books.
