Copies of Birth Certificates are available at the Springfield-Greene County Health Department for anyone born in Missouri after 1920. Death Certificates are available for anyone who died in Missouri after 1980.

Birth Certificates can be verified by calling 573.751.6400. Certificates prior to the aforementioned dates can be obtained from The Missouri Department of Health’s Division of Vital Records in Jefferson City. Applications forms are available at the Local History and Genealogy Desk at the Library Center.
