The Missouri Waltz is the state song of Missouri, adopted
on June 30, 1949. Its words are by J.R. Shannon; its music is from
an original melody obtained from John Valentine Eppel, according
to the World Book Encyclopedia and the Missouri
Secretary of State's Office.
