Where can I obtain Bounty-Land Warrant Records information?

Application forms to request copies of Bounty-Land Warrants from the National Archives may be obtained from the Local History and Genealogy desk in the Library Center. The Title of the form is “Military Pension/Bounty Land Warrant Applications – NATF FORM 85”.

Another source of information is the Bureau of Land Management’s General Land Office Records web site, which provides live access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States. The site also provide image access to more than two million Federal land title records for Eastern Public Land States, issued between 1820 and 1908. Please note that the site does not currently contain every Federal title record issued for the Public Land States. Visitors may search on line Federal Land Patents Databases, or may request certified copies of land patents either electronically or by mail.
