AOL Internet Service users may have difficulties with the following services on COOLcat and the Library web site:
- View your record
- Renew Books
- Access databases
- Set up a NetLibrary account
- Download NetLibrary e-books and audiobooks
- One frequent error message is "Validation has expired".
To use any of the functions listed above, you will need to download an alternate browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Follow the instructions for downloading and installing the alternate browser on your computer. If you have problems downloading and installing, please contact your Internet Service Provider.
Once you have an alternate browser installed on your computer:
- Connect to your Internet Service Provider as usual.
- Open the alternate browser. DO NOT close the AOL browser or disconnect from AOL. The AOL browser will still run in the background while you maintain your connection to AOL.
- Use the alternate browser to access the Library Web site (http://thelibrary.org/) or COOLcat (http://coolcat.org).
- The AOL browser will still be running. Use the AOL browser to do any further work on AOL, and to disconnect from AOL when you are finished.
