Reading your favorite magazine is a great way to wind down after a hectic day, or just to pass the time. Most print magazines are rather expensive and many digital magazines require a hefty subscription fee. Children’s magazines are no exception. Thankfully, your kiddo can read their favorite magazines completely free! Through Zinio, an online newsstand, the library offers titles such as “American Girl,” “Highlights,” Ladybug” and “Faces.” Zinio can be accessed on mobile devices from anywhere with a library card, or on any library computer with or without a library card. STEAM Play Saturday

STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. These are the skills identified as imperative for solving real world problems. The best part? It's easy to build these skills through play and the Library offers lots of STEAM play programs. Kids in grades K through 8 are invited to join us at the Republic Branch Library on November 26 at 11 a.m. for the monthly STEAM Play Saturday, where they can explore building with LEGO bricks, coding with Raspberry Pis and electricity with simple circults.

There are titles appropriate for use with preschoolers through teens and some from a religious perspective, if desired. To find the right book for your family, browse this list and click on individual titles for more information. Still not finding what you need? Stop by your local library branch and talk to a librarian.  We are here to help!
