Murder Strikes a Pose : A Downward Dog Mystery
by Tracy Weber
Kate Davidson is not the best yoga instructor in the world, but she definitely has her heart in the right place. She is having a hard time getting over the death of her father and has shut herself off in many ways. When a homeless man (George) and his noisy dog start selling papers outside her studio she seeks a solution because she does not want to make them move. As she gets to know George and the dog (Bella) she finds that she is really beginning to like both of them. Then one day she stumbles across George's body. Determined to prove that George's murder was not a random act of violence, she decides to take on the case, and the dog. I really enjoyed this book. Kate is fun and I sympathize with her struggle to live the yoga path. Bella, the dog, is fun and a great companion for Kate. I also like her friends and the charming pet shop owner who is falling for Kate as fast as she is falling for him. Looking forward to more adventures with Kate and Bella.
