Kate and Sarah Klise

Kate Klise lives and writes on her 40-acre farm in a valley north of Norwood, Missouri (pop. 300 something), where, not long ago, a man at the post office asked her: "Do you make those stories up out of your own head?" Indeed she does! Sarah Klise (Kate's sister) draws and paints in her studio in Berkeley, California, where she lives with two cats. In addition to her work as an illustrator, she teaches drawing to children and adults in San Francisco's Chinatown.

In Kate and Sarah's recently released Hollywood, Dead Ahead (Book Five in the 43 Old Cemetery Road series), Iggy, Olive, and Seymour head to Hollywood where a director has offered to make their book into a movie. Olive, furious at being written out of the script, enlists the help of a famed femme fatale to scare the despicable director half to death.
