Jacqueline West thought she would become a classical singer, and her first college degree was in voice performance. Midway through her Master's degree, she changed her mind, and earned her English teaching certificate. She has held a number of jobs, including high school English teacher, voice instructor, waitress, and dinner theater actress. She now happily writes full time, and has written the popular Books of Elsewhere series. Book 3, The Second Spy was was realeased in July, 2012.

Jacqueline lives amid the bluffs of Red Wing, Minnesota, with her husband and her dog, a Springer Spaniel mix named Brom Bones.
