The Library is seeking to scan these items to include in the digital preservation project—Community and Conflict: The Impact of the Civil War in the Ozarks. If you share your items with the Library for this project, you will receive a free digitized copy of your materials as a thank-you for aiding the Library’s effort to preserve and share the Ozarks’ Civil War history.
Items do not have to be directly linked to the military since the project aims to provide a general perspective of life in the Ozarks, including social, economic and agricultural aspects.
The creation of an Internet-accessible database of original sources will be an indispensable aid for researchers of all types in their study of the impact of the American Civil War.
Please complete this short survey to help us determine the themes, content and search strategies that will make our database relevant and user-friendly.
