In Memory of Emmett Riley Everett

October 7, 1859 - May 6, 1963

Emmett R. Everett of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, died May 6, 1963, at the age of 103. He was born in Clay County, Missouri, and came to Taney County, Missouri, in 1872. He lived near Kirbyville and at Forsyth until 1921. He and Hannah Dee Smithson were married in 1884, and she preceded him in death. Mr. Everett was a farmer, and for about fourteen years he and his wife owned the Everett Hotel in Forsyth. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frank Baily, and by four sons, Guy, Sewell, Bill, and Edward, all of Oklahoma.
