"Dewey Short, An Ozarks Legend" By Robert Wiley

Mr. Robert S. Wiley, a descendant of a long line of native Ozarkers, has a career as an attorney in Crane, Mo., wrote Dewey Short, Orator of the Ozarks, vol. 1, 1985, and has preserved local history at his Dewey Short museum, Galena, Mo. Bob projects vol. 2 of his Short biography "sometime in the future." His presentation will included insights and anecdotes about one of southwest Missouri’s most famous personalities.

Society members and guests will arrive shortly after the noon hour to enjoy fellowship and lunch served by buffet or table service in the banquet room. College help is available to carry trays, so come join us for conversation prior to the meeting.
