She would appreciate information about the OLD BOSTON FERRY. She would also like to purchase a copy of ELMO INGENTHRON’S book, The Land of Taney.

 

Mrs. Dorothy Ehrcke, Route 1, Box 630, Talala, OK 74080-9724 is searching the genealogy of her great grandmother, MARGARET CUTBIRTH. Mrs. Ehrcke’s grandmother was DOLLIE DOROTHY BARGER, the daughter of GEMES C. WHORTON and MARGARET CUTBIRTH WHORTON. Help is appreciated.

 

Mrs. Cherylle S. Martens, 177 Bramblewood Lane, East Amherst, NY 14051, thanks the WRVHS for assistance in the genealogy research of the PAR-TONS and BATES. Now she is hoping to get help in tracking down the marriage records of her father’s grandparents on his mother’s side. His grandmother’s name was LOUISA MELISSA TRAMMELL. Her parents were JAROD H. TRAMMELL and AMANDA (MANDY) PIERSALL TRAMMELL. AMANDA’S father was ISAAC PIERSALL, a full blood Indian from Georgia. LOUISA was married twice. The first marriage was to HUMPHREY R. LEEDS on February 24, 1878. They were married at her parents home in Scott Township, Taney County, Missouri. HUMPHREY R. LEEDS died in 1887. On January 15, 1890, LOUISA TRAMMELL LEEDS married ROBERT JEFFERSON HUGHES (Mrs. Martens father’s grandfather). They were married at "Conner P. 0., Taney County" Would the P. 0. be Post Office?
