Our speaker grew up on a farm in southeast Kansas, attended a one room school
and went to Chicago as an apprentice in tool and die making. He pursued a career
in management and manufacturing, but horses, mules, and hunting dogs were his
hobby. While rearing a family, he trained quarter horses and hunting dogs. He
has ridden mules to hunt and now trains and races a trotter in harness racing
at county fairs. He will share some of his experiences with us.
