President's Message

Greetings, Friends and fellow members:

Once again I wish to express my thanks that you have elected me to be your president for another year.

In the past year I have been able to learn more about the operation of the society and I feel that I have been amply rewarded for my time and efforts. In addition to the regular meetings this has included an interview on Radio Station KBHM/KIRK, assisting at the table at the Ozarks Genealogical Workshop and at the booth at the Taney County Center Fund Raising Program. I also participated in the Historic Sites selection in the Forsyth area, preparation of the nomination of the Swan Creek Bridge to the National Register of Historic Places and the window display in downtown Branson. Last, but by no means least, I answered several letters from the readers of our quarterly.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in these affairs and consider them worthwhile projects. I must emphasize my appreciation for all the help I have received from the other officers and members. I am looking forward to another good and interesting year. In this I need the help of everyone.

Fred Hartman
